Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 19, 2026

This website and store are operated by Online Doc LLC ("we," "us," "our"). We sell digital educational materials and branded merchandise to healthcare professionals and trainees. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and who we share it with.

We have kept this policy specific to what our store actually does.

Who handles what

Our store runs on Shopify. Shopify provides the storefront, checkout, payment processing, customer accounts, and email marketing tools that make the store work.

That means in practice:

  • We decide what information the store asks you for, and we can see your order history, your name, your email address, and your shipping address in our Shopify admin.
  • Shopify operates the systems that collect, store, and process that information on our behalf. They are our service provider for those functions.
  • Shopify also collects some information for its own purposes as an independent business, including information about your device and how you use the store. We do not control that processing. Shopify's own practices are described in the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy, and you can exercise rights against Shopify directly through the Shopify Privacy Portal.
  • We never see or store your full payment card number. When you pay, your card details go to Shopify's payment processor and the card networks. We receive confirmation that payment succeeded and the last four digits of the card.

What we collect

Depending on how you use the store:

  • Contact and order details. Your name, email address, billing address, and, if you order physical merchandise, your shipping address. A phone number only if you choose to provide one at checkout.
  • Account information. If you create a customer account, your email address and your order history. Accounts are optional; you can check out as a guest.
  • Payment confirmation. Confirmation that a payment succeeded, the payment method type, and the last four digits of the card. Not the full card number.
  • Email list membership. If you sign up for our email list, your email address and the fact that you consented.
  • Messages you send us. Whatever you include when you email us with a question or support request.
  • Technical and usage information. Your IP address, device and browser type, and how you navigate the store, collected automatically by Shopify's systems and by our fraud-screening app.
  • If you choose to provide it through our email signup form, we may collect your profession or professional role. We use this information to understand our audience and provide more relevant educational content. Providing it is optional.

Where it comes from

We collect personal information from four places: directly from you at checkout, when you create an account, when you sign up for our email list, and when you contact us. Technical information is collected automatically by Shopify when you visit the store.

What we use it for

  • Filling your order. Delivering digital downloads, arranging printing and shipping for merchandise, sending order confirmations, and handling questions or problems with your purchase.
  • Email marketing, but only if you signed up. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing does not stop transactional emails about orders you have already placed.
  • Fraud prevention and security. Screening orders for fraudulent activity and keeping the store secure.
  • Legal compliance. Meeting tax, accounting, and record-keeping obligations, and responding to valid legal requests.

We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we do not run advertising pixels on this site.

Who we share it with

  • Shopify, which operates the store, checkout, payments, customer accounts, and email tools on our behalf.
  • Printful, our print-on-demand fulfillment partner. If you order merchandise, Printful receives your name and shipping address in order to print and ship your item. Printful does not receive payment card details.
  • Our fraud-screening app, which reviews order and visitor information to flag suspicious activity.
  • Professional advisors, such as our accountant or attorney, where reasonably necessary.
  • Legal authorities, when required by law or valid legal process.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under applicable privacy laws.

We maintain a data sharing opt-out page as a precaution and to honor opt-out requests in states that require the mechanism, whether or not any sharing occurs.

International visitors

We are based in Illinois, United States. If you order from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live. Shopify's infrastructure may also process your information in other countries.

How long we keep it

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our Services, complete transactions, provide customer support, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, comply with tax and accounting obligations, and meet other legal requirements. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and the reason it was collected. We retain email marketing information until you unsubscribe or it is no longer needed. We may retain certain information for longer when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect our legal rights.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate
  • Ask us to delete your information
  • Ask us to transfer your information to another service
  • Opt out of marketing emails at any time

To exercise any of these, email us at theicudoctor1@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity first. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law, and we will not treat you differently for making a request.

If your request concerns information Shopify processes for its own purposes rather than ours, you can also contact Shopify directly through the Shopify Privacy Portal.

If you visit our store with the Global Privacy Control signal enabled in your browser, we treat that as an opt-out request where applicable law requires it.

Children

Our products are intended for licensed healthcare professionals and trainees. The store is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, email us and we will delete it.

Security

Shopify maintains the security of the systems that store your information, including encryption in transit and PCI-DSS compliance for payment data. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't send us sensitive information by email.

Changes

We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above and post the revised version here.
